MWL Championships - World Lightweight
MWL World Lightweight Championship
On July 4, 2007, MWL went from house shows to a weekly webcast called Redline. With the change, Michael Jamborgh, founder of MWL, collected the active titles from the roster, and activated a new set of championships for the new era in MWL. Michael Jamborgh decided to opt for a more traditional approach, retiring the Wild Rush Championship, the top prize in a division without weight limits, and replaced it with the MWL World Lightweight Championship, which could only be held by wrestlers 239 lbs. and under.
