MWL Redline - March 19, 2008

Home News Shows Roster Championships

"Jim Norris, tonight, you have the opportunity to battle, and potentially defeat, the newest member of the X in Alex DuVry."  Stevan stated, as Jim Norris took a deep breath.

"Aah, yes, it's a wonderful thing, isn't it?  Since Extinction when the X showed up, MWL has been pooling its resources.  The MWL loyalists have been working hard, and tonight, we do battle.  TONIGHT, Stevan!  Tonight, Michael Jamborgh is putting MWL to the test.  Tonight will be a sign of what is to come.  Tonight, a new era begins.  The X says they have the best interests of the young talents in mind?"  Jim asked, looking at Stevan.  Stevan only nodded in silent reply.  "I look at the X, and I see Yugo Ryan, the mastermind, and one of the men who has been in MWL since day one.  A man who only cares about himself.  I see Lino, a man who turned on MWL itself.  He was capable of winning the World Heavyweight Championship whenever he wanted to.  But instead, because of siding with Yugo, he's being held down.  I see Catastrophe, a jackass that sucks so bad, he couldn't cut it with the heavyweights, so he comes down to our ranks."

"And what about the rest?"  Stevan asked.

"I'm getting to them, Stevan."  Jim spat.  "Now, along with those three, I see the Nortons, a tag team so pompous, that their egos keep them from winning!  It wouldn't be that bad if not for the fact that their father was just as bad, if not worse!  Then, I look at Scott Froelich.  Don't get me wrong, he's a young guy, still got some years in the business ahead of him, but look at him!  He can barely do anything on his own!  The only ones in that mess of a faction that still are young enough to make a difference are Scott Froelich, Viper, and the rookie, Alex DuVry."

"Who you'll be facing tonight."  Stevan stated.

"Yes, Stevan, I'm aware of that.  My point is, that tonight, MWL will demonstrate why the X will never be able to tear down our foundations.  The X can claim they want what's best for the younger, newer, talents all they want, but us, MWL, WE are the ones that do something about it!  Oh, little Alex DuVry, get ready.  Because tonight, you will be defeated.  Tonight, you will be broken.  TONIGHT!  You'll realize just how big of a mistake you've made by siding with the X."  Jim stated, making his exit.

"Shane, Chad, tonight I'm sending you guys out to go head-to-head with the Norton Brothers."  Michael stated, looking up at the two.

"The Nortons?  Should be easy!"  Chad answered.

"Yeah, no kidding.  Come on, Michael, couldn't you give us any tougher opponents?"  Shane demanded.

"Shane, tonight is not about entertaining you.  Tonight is about beginning our campaign to regain dominance.  I'm fed up with not even being in control of all of my own damn championships!"  Michael shouted.

"Alright, fair enough.  So we've just gotta beat 'em, right?"  Chad asked.

"Don't stop there!  Rip them apart!  Leave them in bad enough shape that they can't make it to Fallout!  I want my promotion back!"  Michael growled.

"Settle down, Michael, settle down..."  Chad urged.  "We'll be back in a few minutes, with our mission accomplished."

"Right.  Good.  Now go, I've got some calls to make..."  Michael sighed.

Match 1: The Norton Brothers v. Chad Vritska & Shane Warner

"Chris, I'm putting you in charge of the next match, seeing as how you're the MWL World Lightweight Champion, and all.  I trust you'll call it down the middle out there, tonight?"  Michael asked.

"I thought you wanted MWL to dominate the X, tonight?"  Chris answered, scratching his head.

"I do, but I also want it done within fairness.  I want MWL to prove that we can dominate without sinking down to their level.  Without cheating."  Michael stated.  "However, I also want them to not be able to pull something either, and I figure you'd be the best one for the job."

"Okay, works for me."  Chris nodded.  He stood and shook hands with Michael before turning toward the door and making his exit.  Michael quietly reached out and lifted up the phone on his desk and punched in a number, waiting as it rang.

"Uh, yes, Cross-Atlantic Wrestling headquarters?  Michael Jamborgh, here.  I have a request to make of a member of the current administration...  Hmm?  Oh, yes, it does involve the present conflict here in MWL."  Michael answered, grinning.  "How ever did you guess?  Hmm...don't worry, the conflict shouldn't spread to you folks, if it hasn't already."  Michael paused.

"Yes, of course.  There's no one better in the business.  I'd like to set up a meeting before the twenty-sixth, if that's alright.  Oh, they actually put you on?  Alright, will sometime before the twenty-sixth of this month work?  Good.  So, I suppose I'll see you then.  Right.  A pleasure to do business with you again, too."  Michael then hung the phone up and looked to the ceiling, a grin creeping over his face.

Match 2: Guest Referee - Christopher Martel: Jim Norris v. Alex DuVry

"Allan Martel, last week, here on Redline, you defeated one of MWL's biggest names in Magnum.  In tonight's main event, you will be given yet another opportunity to prove yourself when you face the number-one ranked heavyweight in MWL at this time, Lino."  Stevan stated.

"That right, Stevan, tonight I do battle with a two-time MWL World Tag Team Champion.  I represent MWL against one of the X's best, and tonight will be my night.  Tonight will be MWL's night.  We will be denied no longer.  We will overtake the X and show that MWL won't be outdone on our own turf."  Allan answered.

"What do you mean?"  Stevan asked.

"This is OUR ARENA!  Our building!  Our promotion!  Stevan, we are the future of MWL, and the X will learn that tonight.  Lino, you'd better be ready for one hell of a fight tonight, because I was BORN for HARDCORE!"  Allan shouted, before making his exit.

"Allan Martel versus Lino, one-on-one, is--"  Stevan began.

"Do you know who he was calling?"  Shane Warner's voice demanded, as he and Chad Vritska walked past.

"No, I don't.  Why, is it a big deal?"  Chad asked.

"Is it...?!  He called the director of talent relations out at Cross-Atlantic Wrestling!  The troops are going to be rallied soon, Chad!  It's all gonna hit the fan in the next few weeks!"  Shane shouted.

"Oh, man, I didn't think he'd make that kind of a call..."  Chad muttered, as Stevan watched the two go by.

Main Event: Allan Martel v. Lino

Lino gripped his head as Allan slid out of the ring and began shuffling around under the ring.  After a moment, he yanked out a steel chair and slid it into the ring, lifting it high over his head behind Lino, now on his feet.  Allan swung the chair downward, as Lino spotted him out of the corner of his eye, and fled out of the ring, the chair crashing down onto the mat behind him.  Lino began to back up the ramp as Allan tossed the chair aside and posed in the center of the ring.
