World Heavyweight, World Lightweight, World Tag Team, North American, MWL-CAW... Any championship match that the winner desires, along with any stipulations. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...
Shane Warner vs. Viper
As the three members of Team MWL celebrated in the ring after their victory, the structure began to rise, as Nicholas Hunter was handed back his MWL World Heavyweight Championship belt. He climbed onto the middle turnbuckle and showed the belt to the crowd. As he did, he was knocked over the ropes and to the floor by a hard blow to the back. Viper stood where Nicholas just was, then made his way to Shane Warner, blindsiding him. Yugo climbed back into the ring, along with Lino and Catastrophe, as Viper posed.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you, the newest member of the X, Viper!" Yugo announced, as Nicholas Hunter began to force himself to his feet. The four members of the X then made their exit, as Nicholas and Shane shouted back at them.
Shane Warner appeared on the stage, quickly making his way down the ramp and to ringside. He grabbed a microphone and stepped into the ring, looking toward the titantron. "Viper! Since you felt the need to turn on MWL despite everything I've done for you, I went ahead and cleared a match for you! Tonight, Viper, you face Panzer!" With that, Shane dropped the microphone and stormed backstage.
"You're just trying to get him broken in half, aren't you?" Michael asked, looking to Shane Warner, who had a grin on his face.
"You make that sound like it's a bad thing, Mike..." Shane laughed, as Michael shook his head. "Look, after he turned on MWL, he's getting off easy with this! He should be glad we aren't piling more crap on him."
"I think I know what you're getting at." Michael muttered. "...And that might be pushing it a bit, Shane."
"I don't care!" Shane shouted.
"Nick!" Shane shouted, stepping into Free Radical's locker room. "Nick, I'm going to need to borrow you for tonight. You don't mind, do you?"
"Uhh...that depends. What for?" Nick asked, slinging the MWL World Heavyweight Championship belt over his shoulder.
"To get some revenge on Viper for turning on us and attacking us after the match at Conquest." Shane answered.
"Oh, really? Sign me up, then! What do you have in mind, Shane?" Nick asked.
"Why, a two-on-one handicap match, of course!" Shane grinned.
Michael Jamborgh appeared on the stage, microphone in hand, as Shane Warner and Chad Vritska celebrated their victory. "Ladies and gentlemen, it is time to unveil the complete match card for Fallen Rites on Sunday!" Michael announced. "Opening the show, will, of course, be the Fallen Rites Royal Rumble, where the last man standing will get a title match of his choice at Fallout, where he will also be allowed to select the stipulations for the match. Then, after that, Viper and Shane Warner will face off, one-on-one, in a no disqualification, falls count anywhere match." Shane Warner and Viper glared at each other, both looking furious, as their tag team partners struggled to hold them back.
MWL World Lightweight Championship: Christopher Martel & Jim Norris vs. Scott Froelich & ?????
"Hey, Scott!" Yugo called out to Scott Froelich, as he made his way to the arena.
"What is it, Yugo?" Scott asked, turning around to face Yugo, with Melissa at his side.
"The X has a new representative arriving, tonight. We don't want him to be popping out into the arena for a little while yet, but he wanted me to tell you that if it looks like you're in trouble in your match, he'll be out there to help you out." Yugo stated.
"Right, Yugo. Thanks." Scott nodded, before beginning to continue on his way.
"Scott, one last thing." Melissa stated.
"Yeah?" Scott asked, turning around again.
"Don't disappoint us, out there." Yugo stated.
"Michael, did you see that last week?!" Jim demanded, slamming his hands down on Michael Jamborgh's desk. "That's why I lost the number-one contender's match! I was too worried about their new guy coming out and screwing me over!"
"Look, Jimmy, I really doubt that you knew about that fiasco beforehand, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, anyway. As is, though, Scott Froelich is already booked as Viper's partner tonight against Shane and his partner..." Michael began.
"Nick?" Jim asked.
"I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine. But, anyway, the point is, that I just can't give you a number-one contender's rematch. However, what I CAN do is alter the match at Fallen Rites. And I think that's just what I'll do..." Michael stated.
"Alter the match? Like, make it a triple threat?" Jim asked.
"No, no, I've got a better idea in mind..." Michael laughed.
"Then, in light of the conspiracy during the number-one contender's match for the MWL World Lightweight Championship, at Fallen Rites, Christopher Martel will indeed be defending the title against Scott Froelich, but there are some changes that will be made. First, Christopher Martel will be joined by Jim Norris. Second, Scott Froelich will be joined by the X's new recruit. Essentially, it will be a tag team match where whoever scores the winning fall will win the MWL World Lightweight Championship. However, since we do not know anything about the new recruit, if he is ineligible to hold the championship, it will be vacated, and a new champion will be determined at Fallout." Michael announced, as Scott Froelich looked on, furious.
MWL-CAW Championship: Red Norton vs. Panzer
"Then, Red Norton will defend the MWL-CAW Championship against the man who originally won the championship back in July, Panzer!"
MWL World Tag Team Championship: Seiryu & Kouryuu vs. SYN
"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with the reigning MWL World Tag Team Champions, the Ssu-Ling's Seiryu and Kouryuu." Stevan announced. "Guys, tonight, the number-one contenders to your titles will be determined in a four-man elimination match, pitting one representative from each of four teams against each other, with the winner getting a shot at you alongside his partner at Fallen Rites."
"Stevan, Mike can send all four teams against us, and it still wouldn't be enough to get these titles off of our waists!" Seiryu announced. "Of course, it's not likely that he'd do that, since he has no reason to. If we were with the X, though..."
"And on a related note concerning the Ssu-Ling and the title pictures, tonight, Genbu will face Lino for the MWL North American Championship." Stevan continued.
"Wait, whoa, hold on. Lino? Hasn't Genbu beaten the crap out of him, like, three times, now? Lino, really, now. Come on. You know as well as we all do that nobody can beat Genbu outside of a match where you really don't have to BEAT anybody. You could have every last member of the X come down to ringside, crack Genbu in the face with a chair, and he'd still beat your ass up and down the arena!" Seiryu laughed. "Why don't...why don't you just do yourself a favor and hand the title over, hmm?"
"Anyway, Seiryu, Kouryuu, your potential challengers for Fallen Rites include SYN, the Asian Persuasion, Magnum & Chance, and the rag-tag team of Anthony Jacobs & Kairez." Stevan stated. "What are your thoughts on each of them?"
"Wait, SYN? Are you kidding? The guys that only won, what, one match together? And that sure wasn't against us. They're nothing. The Asian Persuasion, now, they're RIGHT behind us on the rankings. They're definitely talented kids, but they don't have what it takes to beat us, either. Magnum & Chance? Well, they just outright suck." Seiryu answered.
"And as for Anthony Jacobs & Kairez?" Stevan pressed.
"Oh, wait, they're an actual tag team, now? I thought you were joking! After the fight they had before they even tagged together? They won't be able to pull it off, either." Seiryu snorted, his MWL World Tag Team Championship belt hanging in his hand as he crossed his arms.
"Following that, the Ssu-Ling's Seiryu and Kouryuu will defend the MWL World Tag Team Championship against SYN." Michael announced, pausing.
MWL World Heavyweight Championship: Nicholas Hunter vs. Yugo Ryan
"What are you talking about?" Yugo demanded. "I am THE MWL World Heavyweight Champion, and nobody in this run down promotion can take my title away from me! Which is why the X has arrived on the scene. Nobody here is competent enough to represent MWL, and that is why after Onslaught, when I beat the sorry excuse for a challenger that Michael Jamborgh has thrown at me, this will become the X Heavyweight Championship!" Yugo announced.
"Wait...didn't you invite Nicholas Hunter to join the X?" Stevan asked.
"He didn't accept, and that in and of itself shows that just like the rest of MWL, he's not fit to even walk on the same ground as me, let alone compete for MY championship!" Yugo vaunted. "We're done here." With that, Yugo walked off, looking furious.
As Nicholas Hunter raised the MWL World Heavyweight Championship in triumph, Yugo Ryan struck him in the back of the head, as Lino, Catastrophe, Melissa, the Norton Brothers, and Scott Froelich came rushing down the ramp to aid in the assault against the new champion. As the seven of them attacked, all of the Ssu-Ling, Amy Kaldahl, Jim Norris, David Hitz, and Allan Martel rushed to the ring to aid Nicholas Hunter. The X was quickly forced out of the ring, as Jim Norris helped Nicholas Hunter to his feet. Genbu then lifted the champion up onto his shoulder, as Nicholas Hunter again held the championship high overhead in triumph, as the fireworks blasted.
"Nick, what happened?" Shane demanded, as Jim Norris and Stevan Corber helped him stand, the both of them supporting him on one shoulder.
"I got hit from behind with a chair..." Nick groaned. "I remember Viper, Yugo, Lino, and I think Scott..."
"Viper, you thought Nick was my tag team partner, didn't you? Well, I'm afraid not." Shane stated. "My tag partner is in the building right now, though. And right now, it's time to go to work! You'll know shortly, boys." Shane continued, before making his exit from the Free Radical locker room.
"Nick, are you sure you should be competing at Fallen Rites?" Michael asked.
"I'm already booked, I can't back out now..." Nick winced.
"I could call the match off..." Michael continued.
"No!" Nick snapped.
"Now then, that brings me to the main event of Fallen Rites. Until tonight, there was no challenger designated as the number-one contender to the MWL World Heavyweight Championship. However, just before the beginning of the show tonight, Nicholas Hunter asked to face Yugo Ryan again for the championship. Considering Nicholas Hunter was assualted backstage earlier tonight, I have considered rescinding the match and instead doing something else. However, Nicholas still wants to go through with it. So, at Fallen Rites, it will be Nicholas Hunter and Yugo Ryan in an Onslaught rematch for the MWL World Heavyweight Championship. If Nicholas loses, he will be given a rematch of his choice between the next Redline, and Fallout." Michael paused again, looking around the arena.
"Ladies and gentlemen, hello, and welcome to MWL Fallen Rites! Danny Tieso, here! My broadcast partner, Chad Vritska, WOULD be here, but he's competing in the Fallen Rites Royal Rumble tonight, and they're supposedly drawing numbers backstage right now. So after the Fallen Rites Royal Rumble, Chad will be up here." Danny stated.
"So, while we're waiting for the drawing to finish, I'll run down the match card. First up, is of course, the Fallen Rites Royal Rumble. The winner of the match can challenge for any MWL championship he wants, provided he could normally. So a lightweight can't compete for the Heavyweight Championship, and a heavyweight couldn't compete for the Lightweight Championship. Any of the other titles are open, though. The second match tonight will be a hardcore match between Shane Warner and Viper. This is the culmination of Shane Warner's fury at Viper over the past month due to Viper turning on Shane and Nicholas Hunter following the MWL versus the X Elimination Chamber match at Conquest." Danny explained.
"After that is a tag team match with the man scoring the winning fall being awarded the MWL World Lightweight Championship. The match will pit reigning champion Christopher Martel and Jim Norris against Scott Froelich and the mysterious new member of the X. Since we know nothing of the new member, Michael Jamborgh ordered that if he could not legally hold the MWL World Lightweight Championship and were to win the match, the title would be vacated and a new champion would be crowned next month at Fallout. After that, Red Norton will defend the MWL-CAW Championship that he won at Conquest against the first holder of the title: Panzer." Danny continued. "After that, Seiryu and Kouryuu defend the MWL World Tag Team Championship against SYN. Catastrophe won a four-man elimination match on Redline to compete for the tag titles. And then, in the main event, Nicholas Hunter will defend the MWL World Heavyweight Championship against the former champion, Yugo Ryan! Due to the backstage assault on Redline that injured Nicholas, however, he will be going in at a disadvantage. Because of that, Michael Jamborgh announced that if Nicholas loses, he will get a rematch of his choice between tonight and Fallout on April 6, 2008. Now, let's go to the arena for the opening contest!"
Match 1: Fallen Rites Royal Rumble
"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with Shane Warner. Shane, just moments ago, your tag team partner, Chad Vritska, won the Fallen Rites Royal Rumble for a title match of his choice in the main event at Fallout. Any ideas what title he'll challenge for?" Stevan asked.
"No, Stevan, not a clue, but I imagine we'll discuss it after the show tonight." Shane answered. "Now then, if you'll excuse me, I have a match to prepare for." And with that, Shane made his exit.
* * *
"Did I miss anything?" Chad asked, plopping down into his seat beside Danny Tieso, still in his ring gear.
"Nope, not a thing." Danny answered. "Next up is Shane Warner versus Viper, no disqualification, falls count anywhere!"
"This match has been brewing since Conquest when Viper turned on the MWL to join the X. Tonight, the conflict comes to a head!" Chad announced.
"So, congrats on winning the Fallen Rites Royal Rumble, by the way, Chad." Danny stated.
"Did you ever doubt me?" Chad responded with a laugh.
"A little..." Danny answered.
Match 2: Hardcore - Shane Warner v. Viper
As Shane Warner pushed himself to his feet, he was blindsided by Scott Froelich, who had hopped over the guardrail. Scott picked up the barbed wire two-by-four and held it up high, before bringing it crashing down onto Shane Warner's back. Scott Froelich repeatedly brought the two-by-four down on Shane's exposed back as Viper pushed himself to his feet, and joined in on the beatdown. After a couple of minutes, Nicholas Hunter and Jim Norris charged down the ramp. Scott and Viper quickly fled, leaving Shane and Free Radical behind. Jim pointed to Scott and made a gesture implying that he would dominate Scott in their match.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with the reigning MWL World Lightweight Champion, Christopher Martel! Chris, tonight you will defend your title in a match where the odds are stacked against you. Your championship will be awarded to the man who scores the winning fall in the tag team match that will take place in just a few moments." Stevan stated.
"Yeah, Stevan. A match where I've only got about a twenty-five percent chance of walking out still the champion? Any other Lightweight Champion would be screwed. But me? Oh, no." Christopher laughed.
"What exactly are you saying, Chris?" Stevan asked.
"Well, I'm not saying I'm unbeatable. Far from it. But I sure as hell will not make it easy for anybody to walk out with my belt." Chris stated, holding up the MWL World Lightweight Championship. "See you later, Stevan."
"The tag team match for the MWL World Lightweight Championship is up NEXT!" Stevan announced.
Match 3: MWL World Lightweight Championship - (C) Christopher Martel & Jim Norris v. Scott Froelich & ?????
As Christopher Martel stood in the ring, celebrating his victory and holding the MWL World Lightweight Championship up high, Jim Norris approached him from behind, pushing his hair back out of his face. Christopher turned around, only to be greeted by Jim Norris staring him down. After several moments, Jim Norris extended his hand to Christopher. Chris slung the MWL World Lightweight Championship belt before reaching out and shaking Jim's hand. After a moment, Jim proceeded to raise Chris' hand, continuing the celebration.
* * *
"Holy crap, he actually did it..." Danny awed, wide-eyed.
"Of course he did. Was there ever a doubt that he would?" Chad asked.
"... Right, well, anyway, the next bout is for the MWL-CAW Championship, so let's get to the tale of the tape. The reigning champion, Red Norton, stands six-foot-ten and weighs in at two hundred and fifty-six pounds. Red is in his first reign and has held the championship since Conquest in February, when he defeated Magnum, Kairez, and Genbu in a Fatal 4-Way ladder match to win the championship and take it from then-champion, Genbu." Danny explained.
"His opponent tonight is Panzer. Panzer stands at six-foot-nine, and weighs a whopping two hundred and seventy-seven pounds. Panzer was crowned the first MWL-CAW Champion on the second edition of MWL Redline on July 11, 2007, and tonight, he has the opportunity to reclaim his championship." Chad stated.
"Now then, let's go to the arena for the bout!" Danny announced.
Match 4: MWL-CAW Championship - (C) Red Norton v. Panzer
"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with the reigning MWL World Tag Team Champions, Seiryu and Kouryuu!" Stevan announced. "Seiryu, Kouryuu, tonight, you will do battle with SYN in defense of your tag team gold."
"And we will dominate!" Seiryu shouted. "What Lino and Catastrophe fail to realize is that we have never been defeated! Nobody has met with us in a tag team match and pinned us, one, two, three, or made us tap out! It's never happened. And do you know why, Stevan?"
"Why?" Stevan asked.
"Because it is impossible! It CAN NOT BE DONE!" Seiryu announced.
"Lino, you're a big boy, and you're smart, too." Kouryuu stated. "You beat me for the North American Championship at Onslaught. Good for you. But tonight, you will not be beating me or Seiryu for the MWL World Tag Team Championship. So don't even bother trying."
"Aren't the two of you just a little bit overly confident in yourselves?" Stevan asked.
"Stevan, tell me, when was the last time a tag team managed to capture tag team gold a total of three times, and still remain undefeated? When has it ever happened it wrestling? Let alone only in MWL." Seiryu demanded.
"I...you're the first..." Stevan muttered.
"That's right. Now, I say again, Lino, Catastrophe, we can't be beaten. So, good luck. You'll need it." Seiryu spat, as he and Kouryuu made their exit.
"SYN versus the Ssu-Ling for the MWL World Tag Team Championship is up NEXT!" Stevan announced.
Match 5: MWL World Tag Team Championship - (C) Seiryu & Kouryuu v. SYN
"HOLY CRAP! Talk about a huge upset! I don't think even they expected to win!" Chad snorted.
"Am I the only one that saw that they had SYN beaten, like, a quarter of the way into the match?" Danny asked.
"Probably not. Anyway, the main event tonight is for the MWL World Heavyweight Championship, and is an Onslaught rematch between Nicholas Hunter and Yugo Ryan." Chad stated. "That said, it's time for the tale of the tape!"
"Yugo Ryan is a former two-time MWL World Heavyweight Champion, and is the longest reigning champion in the title's history. He stands six-foot-seven and weight two hundred and forty pounds." Danny explained.
"His opponent, the reigning and defending MWL World Heavyweight Champion, is Nicholas Hunter. He stands six-foot-five and weighs two hundred and forty-three pounds. Both of these men are no strangers to championship gold, and both of them have quite a bit to lose with this match." Chad stated.
"If Yugo loses this match, he probably will not be given another shot at the title at least until Nicholas loses the title. But on the flip-side, if Nicholas Hunter loses tonight, he will lose what may well be his greatest achievement in MWL." Danny stated.
"Alright, now, let's go to the arena for the main event for tonight, shall we?" Chad asked.
"We shall." Danny answered.
Main Event: MWL World Heavyweight Championship - (C) Nicholas Hunter v. Yugo Ryan
As Yugo held the MWL World Heavyweight Championship belt over his head, he looked down to see Nicholas Hunter pulling himself to his feet. As Nick stood, Yugo charged forward and smashed Nick in the face with the title belt, tossing it aside. Yugo then lifted Nick by the head and dragged him to the side of the ring closest to the stage before setting him up for a Superiority Complex. Yugo flashed the Rock Fist, then hoisted Nick up, turned around, and tossed him onto the floor outside the ring. Yugo stood, admiring his work, before grabbing the belt and making his way backstage, past the unconscious Nicholas Hunter.
