MWL Redline - February 20, 2008
"Good." Kairez spat. "This rookie could stand to get some respect beaten into him!"
"Me? You're past your prime, old man!" AJ retorted. "But me, I'm IN my prime! You couldn't beat me if your life depended on it!"
"Really? Because as I recall, you were staring at the ceiling, laid out, at the three count. I think I DID beat you!" Kairez snorted.
"Gentlemen, gentlemen, please. Tonight, the two of you will be facing the Asian Persuasion." Michael interrupted.
"WHAT?!" AJ and Kairez demanded in unison.
"You guys will be teaming up, tonight. I want you two to show us what you've got. If you do a good job, well, who knows what might come of it?" Michael laughed. "Alright, that's all, you boys can go, now." With that, AJ and Kairez both stood and stepped out of Michael's office, closing the door behind them.
"Look, kid, we've been down this road, before. I hate you, and you hate me, but I figure we can probably at least coexist inside the ring for a while. I mean really, judging by what Michael said in there, if we do good tonight, we could get a shot at the MWL World Tag Team Championship." Kairez stated.
"Alright, fair enough. I suppose we could work together, tonight. If we get the shot at the tag titles, and we win, it'd make me an MWL legend!" AJ grinned.
"Now that's the kind of thinking you need, kid." Kairez answered.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with the reigning MWL World Lightweight Champion, Jim Norris, who tonight, will defend his title against Christopher Martel. Jim, at Conquest, you not only defeated Scott Froelich, the then-champion, but you also put away Byakko, David Hitz, and Christopher Martel in the Elimination Chamber, also outlasting Spike Norton. In fact, only one fall in that match was not attributed to you." Stevan stated.
"Well, Stevan, it's pretty simple, actually. I am the number-one ranked wrestler in MWL, through both weight divisions. I am the best that MWL has to offer, and now it's official. Chris, sorry, I don't have anything against you, but you won't be getting this belt away from me." Jim answered, holding the MWL World Lightweight Championship belt up, then slinging it over his shoulder.
"Heh, sorry Chris, but if you want this title belt, you're going to have to pry it out of my hands while I'm unconscious. Sorry Chris, but I'm not about to give up my title again." Jim continued, making his exit.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the opening bout is up next! Anthony Jacobs and Kairez team up to take on the Asian Persuasion!" Stevan announced.
Match 1: The Asian Persuasion v. Anthony Jacobs & Kairez
"You're just trying to get him broken in half, aren't you?" Michael asked, looking to Shane Warner, who had a grin on his face.
"You make that sound like it's a bad thing, Mike..." Shane laughed, as Michael shook his head. "Look, after he turned on MWL, he's getting off easy with this! He should be glad we aren't piling more crap on him."
"I think I know what you're getting at." Michael muttered. "...And that might be pushing it a bit, Shane."
"I don't care!" Shane shouted.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with the MWL North American Champion, Lino. Lino, word in the locker room is that Michael Jamborgh decided that between now and Fallen Rites, you will be placed in a match where your MWL North American Championship will be on the line. However, there is no word yet on who a possible contender will be." Stevan stated.
"Look, Stevan, it doesn't matter who Michael gets to challenge me for the North American title, I'm the number-one rated heavyweight. I'll kick their ass up and down the arena and send 'em home! Do your worst Michael, because it won't be bad enough."
"Are you sure about that, Lino? I think there are some guys that Michael could get that could really do a number on you, Lino..." Stevan muttered.
"Like who?" Lino demanded, as a low growl came from behind Lino. Lino turned to face the source, finding himself staring down Genbu. The two stood face to face, only staring at each other. After several moments, Genbu silently made his exit.
"Like Genbu..." Stevan muttered.
Match 2: Viper v. Genbu
"That...was...BEAUTIFUL!" Shane Warner announced.
"You are trying to get him broken in half, aren't you, Shane?" Michael asked.
"Well, he deserves it for turning on Team MWL at Conquest, like he did!" Shane snorted. "The little jackass...and after everything we've done for him!"
"Yes, Shane, I'm aware." Michael sighed. "Alright, look. I know you want to get a hold of him, Shane, so here's what I'll do. At Fallen Rites, on March 9, you will square off, one-on-one, with Viper, in a no disqualfication, falls count anywhere, Hardcore match!"
"Delicious. I'll tear Viper a new one at Fallen Rites, then." Shane grinned. A knock on Michael's door rang out as Shane finished his statement.
"Come in." Michael stated, flipping through some papers on his desk, as the door opened slowly. "Aah, you've arrived..." Michael grinned.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with the challenger for Jim Norris' MWL World Lightweight Championship, tonight, please welcome, at this time, Christopher Martel!" Stevan announced.
"Chris, tonight you have a chance to gain a singles championship here in MWL while your brother, Allan, is out of action after Last Man Standing 2. How is Allan, anyway?" Stevan asked.
"Allan's fine, Stevan. Probably a bit worse off in the head, but still. Now then, Jim Norris, tonight, you and I face off for that Lightweight Championship of yours. You're right, like you said, no hard feelings, but don't be surprised when I walk out of here tonight wearing your belt. Or, should I say, my belt? See, Jimmy, what you seem to be forgetting is that this will not be the first time I've held singles gold, and it won't be the last, either." Christopher stated. "So I hope that belt's nice and shiny for me, 'cause I'll be the one wearing it home." With that, Chris made his exit.
"Christopher Martel versus Jim Norris for the MWL World Lightweight Championship is NEXT!" Stevan announced.
Main Event: MWL World Lightweight Championship - (C) Jim Norris v. Christopher Martel
As Christopher Martel stood in the ring, holding up his newly won championship, Amy Kaldahl stepped into the ring and helped Jim Norris to his feet. Jim walked to Chris and held out his hand, waiting for Chris to accept it. Christopher Martel slung the MWL World Lightweight Championship belt over his should and extended his hand. The two shook, and Jim Norris stepped out of the ring, with Amy in tow, leaving Chris alone in the ring to celebrate.
