MWL Redline - February 13, 2008

Home News Shows Roster Championships

Michael Jamborgh stood in the ring, microphone in hand, as the show opened. "Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to start off by welcoming you all to another edition of MWL Redline. Conquest was quite a night. Anthony Jacobs managed to defeat Allan Martel in Last Man Standing 2, despite having lost to Panzer beforehand. Red Norton managed to slip away with the MWL-CAW Championship. Seiryu and Kouryuu remain undefeated after beating the Asian Persuasion to retain the tag titles. Team MWL defeated Team X in the Chamber, even if one of them turned on us to join the X... And as of Conquest, Free Radical now holds both MWL singles World Championships!"

"Now then, moving on, a member of management went back through our results and tallied up the wins, losses, and draws of each member of the roster since we began Redline. And as such, I have here, in my hand, the overall rankings of every member of the MWL roster since July 4, 2007! This will make determining title shot eligibility easier on management, and should result in more quality title matches, as well." Michal stated. "To all MWL talent, these rankings will be posted outside my office and updated after each event. And so now we KNOW who the most dominant wrestlers are..."

"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here with the holders of both of MWL's singles World championships. Please welcome, at this time, Jim Norris and Nicholas Hunter, Free Radical!" Stevan announced, as Nick and Jim stepped into view.

"Hey, Stevan, how ya doin'? Ya look good." Jim stated.

"Thanks. This IS a new shirt..." Stevan laughed.

"Awesome." Nick commented. "Heh, has management given us a new title yet, since we've got both of the singles World titles between us?"

"I don't know." Stevan shrugged.

"Well, then, we'll do it! Ladies and gentlemen! You're looking at the first-ever winners of the Free Radical Championship! Aah, it's beautiful, isn't it?" Nick asked, holding up both title belts.

"It is quite the sight. Now, Nick, after the 6-Man Tornado Tag Elimination Chamber match, when you and Shane Warner were betrayed by Viper, who joined the X, what were you thinking? I mean, one of your teammates in an MWL versus the X match turned on MWL." Stevan stated.

"Yeah, I wasn't too fond of what Viper did, but I think Shane was absolutely torn up about it. I mean, when Shane came back to MWL, he brought Viper and AJ with him. Now, from what I hear, AJ's a huge ass, but Viper? Well, I got the feeling that Shane was glad to have Viper in our corner. And, uh...what a letdown when he clocked us after the match, eh?" Nick asked.

"Yeah..." Stevan began.

"Look, Viper, I don't know what the X offered you, but turning on MWL was a big mistake. You've got me, management, the Ssu-Ling, and every other MWL loyalist full-on pissed at you. I hope whatever they offered was worth it, because I doubt you'll be able to enjoy it for much longer." Nick growled.

"And what about your win, Jim? You are now the five-time MWL World Lightweight Champion." Stevan stated.

"I kicked ass, that's all there is to it." Jim answered, as Jim and Nick made their exit.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, Scott Froelich faces Christopher Martel, NEXT!" Stevan announced.

Match 1: Christopher Martel v. Scott Froelich

"I've gotten word, the Michael Jamborgh is currently speaking with someone in his office." Stevan Corber whispered. "Let's check it out." He pushed the door open a little way, revealing Michael Jamborgh speaking to an unknown party, hidden behind the door.

"I'm sure you know why I called you in here today, right?" Michael asked. "Alright, well, you've done such a fantastic job, lately. Especially with those rankings and whatnot. That will make booking title matches a lot easier, you know."

"Of course I do. That's why I did it." A voice replied.

"Oh, it'll be great to have another guy on management. This way, we can probably keep an eye on all three divisions more easily..." Michael stated.

"Hey, Kouryuu, did you hear about the rankings?" Seiryu asked, approaching his tag partner.

"No, I didn't." Kouryuu answered, staring at his MWL World Tag Team Championship belt. "What about the rankings?"

"Well, apparently some guy in management figured out everybody's wins, losses, and draws since Redline's debut, and ranked everyone based on those stats." Seiryu answered.

"Really, now? I assume we're the number-one ranked tag team?" Kouryuu asked.

"I don't know, I couldn't find the tag team rankings. They probably haven't been finished, yet." Seiryu answered.

"Well then, if we're not the number-one team, we'll just have to make sure we BECOME the number-one team..." Kouryuu muttered.

Shane Warner appeared on the stage, quickly making his way down the ramp and to ringside. He grabbed a microphone and stepped into the ring, looking toward the titantron. "Viper! Since you felt the need to turn on MWL despite everything I've done for you, I went ahead and cleared a match for you! Tonight, Viper, you face Panzer!" With that, Shane dropped the microphone and stormed backstage.

Match 2: Viper v. Panzer

"Alright, Shane, don't get me wrong, I'm all for giving hell to the backstabbers that join the X, but...what was that?" Michael asked.

"After everything I did for Viper in Cross-Atlantic, after the times that you helped him out, too, he deserves to be destroyed for turning on us!" Shane shouted.

"Okay, Shane, Shane, I understand you're mad, but you've turned on me a couple of times, too. Hell, you know what? I've got an idea for next week that you just might like, Shane..." Michael grinned.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Stevan Corber here, with Lino and Catastrophe, who tonight, will face the team of Free Radical!" Stevan announced. "Guys, the rankings are in, and--" Stevan began.

"I'm the number-one Heavyweight, Stevan!" Lino interrupted. "But what I don't get is how I'm not number-one overall!"

"You're not?" Stevan asked.

"No! But so help me, I'll be #1 overall soon!" Lino shouted, storming off.

"What about you, Catastrophe?" Stevan asked, as Catastrophe looked away.

"Uh... Th-thirteen." Catastrophe answered.

"Out of...?" Stevan pressed.

"Twenty-nine." Catastrophe replied.

"Oh, well, that's not terrible..." Stevan began.

"My tag team partner's number two!" Catastrophe shouted, stomping away.

"SYN versus Free Radical is up NEXT!" Stevan announced, stifling a laugh.

Michael sat in his office, with Shane Warner, preparing for the next week's show, when the door to Michael's office opened, and both of them looked up.

"You again?" Michael asked. "I thought you went home...?"
