Home News Shows Roster Championships

"Well, Michael, Sunday's the big day."  Shane stated.  "The X and MWL go head-to-head.  Who do ya think's gonna win?"

"Please, Shane!  Onslaught is FAR too important to be betting on!"  Michael announced.  "...Becuase MWL is going to rip the X a new one."

"Ain't that the truth!"  Shane laughed.  "We've got the Ssu-Ling!  They're the cyncher!"

"Hello, Stevan Corber here with the current reigning MWL World Heavyweight Champion, and leader of the X, Yugo Ryan.  Yugo, Michael Jamborgh has built Onslaught on Sunday to be entirely MWL clashing head-to-head with the X.  That said, I have to ask, have you found anyone to compete in the MWL World Lightweight Championship match against David Hitz, or are you going to let Spike Norton compete in both the tag title and lightweight title matches?"  Stevan asked.

"You know what, Stevan?  Don't worry about it.  Suffice it to say that the X will not be shown up!"  Yugo announced.

"Well, either way, tonight you and Lino will clash with Free Radical in tag team action.  Will the match tonight be a sign of things to come?"  Stevan asked.

"What are you talking about?"  Yugo demanded.  "I am THE MWL World Heavyweight Champion, and nobody in this run down promotion can take my title away from me!  Which is why the X has arrived on the scene.  Nobody here is competent enough to represent MWL, and that is why after Onslaught, when I beat the sorry excuse for a challenger that Michael Jamborgh has thrown at me, this will become the X Heavyweight Championship!"  Yugo announced.

"Wait...didn't you invite Nicholas Hunter to join the X?"  Stevan asked.

"He didn't accept, and that in and of itself shows that just like the rest of MWL, he's not fit to even walk on the same ground as me, let alone compete for MY championship!"  Yugo vaunted.  "We're done here."  With that, Yugo walked off, looking furious.

"Tonight, Yugo Ryan & Lino face off against Free Radical!"  Stevan announced.

"Michael!"  Allan Martel shouted, barging into Michael Jamborgh's office.

"What is it, Allan?"  Michael sighed.

"I demand a match against Anthony at Onslaught!"  Allan yelled, as Michael looked to Shane Warner, who only grinned.

    "Your call."  Shane laughed.

"Look, Allan, I don't know if this is clear enough to you, but Onslaught is ONLY for MWL versus the X matches.  I know you hate AJ, and I'm not fond of him, either, with the way he behaved during the North American Championship tournament.  Now, if this were any other event, I'd be happy to oblige, but as much as we all hate AJ, he isn't with the X, so I can't give you your match."  Michael stated.

    "But--"  Allan began.

"No, Allan!"  Michael interrupted, throwing his hand up to stop him.  "We'll see about Conquest, though."

"This is better than my soaps!"  Shane giggled.

Match 1: Spike Norton v. David Hitz

"Hello, Stevan Corber, here, with one half of the Canadian tag team, Instant Epic Win, please welcome, at this time, Allan Martel!"  Stevan announced.  "Allan, just a moment ago, we witnessed you requesting a match against Anthony Jacobs, but it seems Michael Jamborgh turned your request down in favor of maintaining the theme of the X versus MWL.  What are your thoughts?"  Stevan asked.

"My thoughts?  Stevan, I just got shot down by Michael Jamborgh!  When was the last time he denied anyone a match request?  Do you know?  Because I sure don't!"  Allan yelled.

"Well, that's true, I guess..."  Stevan muttered.

"Look, I may be denied for Onslaught, but so, help me, I'll get a match with AJ again, mark my words!"  Allan shouted.

"Didn't you beat AJ at Dead Heat, though?"  Stevan asked.

"Yes, but after he knocked me out of the North American Championship Tournament qualifiers, one defeat isn't even close to enough payback!  He put me on the shelf, and so help me, when I'm done with him, he'll be on the shelf so long that Michael might as well terminate his contract!"  Allan bellowed, storming off.

"Coming up next, ladies and gentlemen, Allan Martel will face Catastrophe, one-on-one!"  Stevan announced.

As Allan Martel made his way out toward the arena, Anthony Jacobs sat, in his ring attire, watching one of the monitors backstage, a maniacal grin appearing on his face.

Match 2: Allan Martel v. Catastrophe

As Allan Martel and Anthony Jacobs brawled furiously at ringside, Catastrophe stepped out of the ring, and began to make his way toward the backstage area, as Michael Jamborgh appeared on the stage, microphone on hand.  "Both of you, settle down!"  Michael shouted, as Allan and AJ backed away from each other.  "Allan, you came to me earlier requesting a match against AJ, but I wouldn't let you have it because he's not affiliated with the X.  Well, since he interfered in your match, on behalf of Catastrophe, a member of the X, that, to me, constitutes an affiliation with the X."  Michael stated, as Allan cheered to himself, with AJ looking furiously to Michael.

"Now, then, that said, we have a problem.  The card for Onslaught is already all filled out.  All the matches have been booked, and we only have enough room on the card for six matches.  However, there's nothing wrong with a good pre-show!"  Michael announced.  "That said, on January 13, 2008, just before Onslaught, it will be Allan Martel and Anthony Jacobs, one-on-one, in a Buried Alive match!"  Michael announced, before returning to the backstage area, as Allan Martel made motions to suggest he would defeat Anthony Jacobs once again.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen!  Stevan Corber, here, with the man who, at Onslaught, will go head-to-head with Catastrophe, please welcome, at this time, Viper!"  Stevan announced, as Viper made his way onscreen.  "Viper, last week, you announced your intentions to cash in your prize from the Good Saint Mike Tournament when Overdrive arrives in June.  But yo've got a long road ahead of you until then, and that road starts with Catastrophe."

"Yeah, I know.  The moron that thinks he's unbeatable just because he can spin people in the air.  Whoop-dee-doo."  Viper snorted.  "Catastrophe, I know this'll come as a surprize to you, but there's more to wrestling than a single, flashy, move.  And come Sunday, I will prove my point, using YOU.  Catastrophe, I'm going to kick your ass so hard, you'll be stuck standing up until I get my title shot!"

"Pretty big words, Viper."  Stevan muttered.

"Big words from a big man, Stevan."  Viper replied, striking an overly-dramatic pose.  "Now, I must take my leave.  We're done, right?"

"Yeah."  Stevan nodded, as Viper made his exit.  "Ladies and gentlemen, Yugo Ryan & Lino battle Free Radical, NEXT!"

Main Event: Yugo Ryan & Lino v. Free Radical

As Yugo Ryan and Lino made their way up the ramp, Yugo turned to face his two competitors.  Jim Norris dragged himself back into the ring, as Nicholas Hunter pointed to Yugo, before making a gesture at his waist, signalling that he would emerge victorious, with the MWL World Heavyweight Championship.
