MWL Redline - July 4, 2007
"Now, I know you've all come here looking for intense matches with a million new faces in the wrestling business, and that's what you'll get. Now, since we've grown, so has our roster, and tonight, I'm showcasing the best of the best to crown champions for the currently vacant titles here at MWL." Michael paused, looking around as the crowd cheered.
"Alright, our first match tonight is going to be a six-man, elimination, battle royal for the Lightweight Championship. It'll be Spike Norton vs. Christopher Martel vs. David Hitz vs. Scott Froelich vs. Jim Norris vs. Byakko." Michael paused, mainly to build suspense.
"Then, we've got a hardcore, triple-threat, tornado tag team match. The winners will face off next week, here on Redline, for the MWL-CAW Championship. That match will be Catastrophe and Panzer vs. Red Norton and Seiryu vs. Allan Martel and Nicholas Hunter!" Michael prepared to announce the final match, but was cut off by the roar of the crowd. He grinned, chuckling once to himself. "You guys must like those boys, huh?"
"Now, then, our main even tonight is a triple-threat ladder match between Lino, Magnum, and Kairez, for the MWL World Heavyweight Championship!" Michael announced. He was about to leave when a voice came in over the speakers.
"Now wait just a goddamn minute, Jamborgh!" The wrestler on the stage bellowed, as Michael sighed, looking up the entryway at the man wearing the red jacket.
"Yugo, what the hell are you doing out here?" Michael demanded.
"Well, Kairez told me he was in the title match tonight, and I couldn't believe it! I've beaten all three of those punk-ass wimps a dozen times! Why am I not in the title match?!" Yugo demanded.
"You mean other than the fact that you sandwiched that ref between ladders the other day?" Michael asked. Yugo fell silent.
"Th-that was..." Yugo began.
"Fine, you want into the match? Then it's a Fatal 4-Way Ladder match! Yugo Ryan vs. Lino vs. Magnum vs. Kairez, for the MWL World Heavyweight Title! But so help me, blondie, you screw up your shot at this one, and you won't get another title shot for a LONG time!" Michael warned.
"Boy, I oughtta come down there, and--!" Yugo began.
"Go right ahead." Michael answered. "But I'll drop you from the title match."
"Rrgh...!" Yugo growled, throwing his microphone down in frustration, and stomping to the backstage area.
"Now, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, let's start MWL Redline with a BANG! Shall we?" Michael asked, stepping out of the ring, and approaching the stage, disappearing into the entryway, as the ring announcer stepped in and the music began.
Match 1: Lightweight Championship - 6-Man Elimination Battle Royal: Spike Norton v. Chris Martel v. David Hitz v. Scott Froelich v. Jim Norris v. Byakko
"MICHAEL!" Scott Froelich stormed through the backstage area, shoving personnel aside as he stomped into Michael Jamborgh's office. "Were you watching that?!"
"Yeah, I was." Michael answered.
"Then you saw how they were ganging up on me! How the hell was I supposed to fend all five of them off?!" Scott demanded.
"Well, that's why it was a battle royal, Scott. Survival of the fittest, and whatnot..." Michael answered.
"Damn it! Then I want another shot at the Lightweight Title! At Goldlust!" Scott shouted.
"Look, Scott, I respect you both as a man and as a wrestler. The problem is, just like everyone else, you'll have to show me if you DESERVE the shot." Michael paused, considering his option, as Scott anxiously awaited his decision. "Okay, tell you what. Next week, on Redline, it'll be a Fatal 4-Way match, winner gets the shot at the Lightweight Title at Goldlust. But no whining if you lose, okay?"
"Right. Who all is in the match, then?" Scott asked.
"Okay. Who was it that got pinned last, again? Hitz?" Michael wondered.
"Yeah." Scott nodded.
"Well, then, it'll be you, Spike Norton, Chris Martel, and Byakko. It won't be elimination, so you'd better be ready for one hell of a match." Michael stated.
"Alright. See you next week then, Michael." Scott stated, calmly walking out of Michael's office.

"Stevan Corber here, with two competitors in the MWL-CAW Contendership match coming up, please welcome Allan Martel and Nicholas Hunter." Stevan stated, as Nicholas Hunter stepped into the camera's view, as the fans watching on the titantron cheered. "Nicholas, what's your prediction for the world title match later tonight?"
"Oh...my prediction?" Nicholas began. "Well, don't get me wrong. I'm hoping that Lino wins. The guy deserves that title a lot more than the other three in that match, but I've seen Yugo in action when he has something like this riding on a match, and he's a tricky little bastard. He knows what to do, definitely."
"And, about your match in a minute, guys?" Stevan asked, looking off-camera.
"Whatever, man!" Allan shouted. "Dot your t's, and cross your i's, but remember, I was BORN for hardcore!" With that, Allan stomped off toward the entryway.
"I think he got that backwards..." Stevan muttered.
"Yeah, me too." Nicholas agreed, hurrying off to catch up.
"The HT5 MWL-CAW Contendership Match is next!" Stevan announced.
Match 2: MWL-CAW Contendership - HT5: Catastrophe/Panzer v. Seiru/Red Norton v. Nicholas Hunter/Allan Martel
"Spike, Chris, I called you two here because you'll both be involved in a Fatal 4-Way match next week for number one contendership to Jim Norris' Lightweight Title at Goldlust. That means since you're both in the Tag Title HT5 match next week, you'll both be in two matches in one night, and if either of you win in both matches, you might be in two, when Goldlust rolls around. Are you both okay with that?" Michael asked.
"You kiddin' me?!" Spike snorted. "First, I'm from Texas. Second, I'm a Norton! You c'n slap me in every match o' the night, for all I care! Just means I've got a chance to go down in history!"
"Chris?" Michael asked.
"I agree with Spike, here. The more matches we're in, the better known we'll become. Especially if we can win both." Chris answered.
"So, you both want to stay in both matches next week?" Michael clarified. They both nodded. "Alright, then you'll both be in both of your matches next week. See you then." With that, Spike and Chris stood and exited Michael's office.

"Stevan Corber here with Red Norton. Tough loss out there, Red. You okay?" Stevan asked.
"Yeh." Red answered, rubbing the back of his head.
"What's your prediction for the world title match coming up next?" Stevan asked.
"Oh, it'll be Lino, no doubt. He's a big ol' guy, and probably the toughest S.O.B. in the MWL right now. I've been in the ring 'gainst him before, and he knows how to make you hurt, and keep you from moving." Red answered.
"And what do you think of Yugo Ryan's chances in the match?" Stevan asked.
"Yugo's a tough guy himself, but he's little. He's just over the upper ceiling for the Lightweight Division, you know that? He's got to deal with not only Lino, but you throw Kairez and Magnum into the equation, he doesn't stand a chance, no matter how clever he is." Red answered.
"Fatal 4-Way Ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship is NEXT!" Stevan announced, as Red nodded in agreement.
Main Event: MWL World Heavyweight Championship - Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match: Yugo Ryan v. Kairez v. Lino v. Magnum
Yugo stumbled up the entryway ramp, holding his fists and the World Title up in triumph. "YES!" He screamed, loud enough to be clearly heard through the arena. Kairez was breathing heavily on the mat, barely conscious. Magnum stormed over to Lino, his frustration apparent.
"Damn it, Lino!" Magnum screamed, after grabbing a microphone. "I'd keep Yugo busy, and you and Kairez would duke it out for the title, that was the plan, right? What the hell went wrong?! It didn't matter who won, as long as it wasn't Yugo! How could you screw up something as simple as that?! HUH?!" Lino remained quiet through Magnum's yelling, until finally he'd had enough, and punched Magnum in the face.
Yugo was standing at the top of the ramp watching Lino and Magnum brawl. It made his victory all the sweeter. He raised the belt and gave it a quick kiss before stepping into the back as security rushed out to break up the battle.
